About
Hi, I'm Kristie, a Yorkshire girl based in Bardsey, North Leeds. I love all things wedding and especially love photographing people; their emotions, connections and reactions. I get wrapped up in the excitement and joy of the day and often shed a tear at the speeches! I adore hearing people's love stories, how they met, their quirks, the funny anecdotes.
My brand is art-focused, blending traditional photography, creative photojournalism, and modern fashion influenced portraiture together. The results are contemporary, fine art photographs and film with an edge! Your personalities beautifully captured in a natural way.
I set up Daze Photography in 2010 after having a lifelong love of taking photos. I studied photography and videography in Leeds and also had one to one training at Red 5 Studios who specialise in weddings and portraiture. I knew then that was the area of photography I'd like to go into. I have never looked back and really love my job, I'm really passionate about what I do!
Photography
The aim of my photography is to create beautiful, natural images, capturing the day as it unfolds.
My approach combines documentary, natural with creative and modern. Telling your story in an emotive, relaxed and authentic way. Using the scenery and showcasing your personalities to create joyful, expressive and timeless images.
I realise not everyone likes their photos being taken so I try to make people feel at ease and be none intrusive on your day. I always visit the venue beforehand if I haven’t already done a wedding there to locate the best areas and backdrops for photographs to save time on the day, giving you and your guests more time to enjoy yourselves.
Videography

A full film 20-60 minutes long plus a 5-10 minutes highligh version featuring all the details throughout your day with sound during ceremony and speeches to your choice of background music.

Portraiture
Family Portraits - Pregnancy - Newborn
My passion for photography started at a young age and since becoming a mum myself I love capturing the expressions of children. I really like to bring out the personality in a child and create fun and interesting photographs. Another aim is to capture the love and laughter between families or the excitement and joy of pregnancy. I try to make the session as fun and relaxed as possible so that adults and children alike feel comfortable infront of the camera.

Kristie did the photography for our wedding in March. She has given us a beautiful record of our day. Kristie met with us prior to the wedding and really listened to what we wanted in terms of photos and approach. She achieved some lovely natural photos that capture the essence of the day. The obligatory 'family photos' were quick, easy and relaxed and the photos of us as a couple are lovely. Neither of us are great in front of the camera but Kristie made us feel relaxed and the results are beautiful.
